I hope your technical difficulties can be fixed soon. I can not tell you how helpful your sight has been. As things become tougher at work, I can pull up your site (which is in my list of favorites) when I get home and compare what I'm being subjected to against the documentation log I've been keeping on my employer. I am 28 year old black female employee and my employer had promised a promotion upon comletion of my MA in Public Administration. However, this promise was not fulfilled, which is not the reason I'm dissatisfied enough to keep documentation. The issue is: not only was this promotion not fulfilled, but I was surprised to be subjected to pressure from management to quit since I had graduated and when they felt that I was not going to quit, I was met with almost all of the discriminatory tactics mentioned in this site. I was so discouraged and dumbfounded, until I read your blog and actually knew this was not new and occurs with other black employees. I can't tell you how much this site has meant to me and my morale. Thank you so much!
Yes I feel exactly the same. Before I discovered this blog I felt so isolated. I felt I was the problem. Not so, after reading Mary’s blog. I only discovered this blog by accident. Since then I have been reading all the archive materials as well as the new ones. Actually I read the materials everyday when I come home from work.
