Sister Still in Recovery Mode--Back Blogging on Monday
After dealing with some c0mplications, my sister is finally home from the hospital. I'm taking care of her, which leaves me zero time to blog today. I'll have a new post on Monday. Until then...

Praying for you and your sister!
I'm pretty new to blogging and not really sure of the appropriate protocol here. I have created a blog and group where professional African-American women can "let of steam" regarding their experiences with "working while Black". I have subscribed to your feed because your information is so helpful. In fact, I've just posted an exerpt of your May 2007 article about Who's Really Being Hostile in my group with a link back to the full article and your blog. I've encouraged my members - who are just a few - to also join your blog.
Because I don't want to be viewed as stealing your content, I would like to know the protocol here in posting some of your articles on my blog post. . .or even better, I would love for you to post on my blog and in my group!
The blog is called "Sojourner's Place" at http://sojournersplace.blogspot.com. The group, Sojourners Place, 2 can be accessed and joined from that site also. Just don't want to make the same mistake that I did earlier this week (as you will see from the group).

Sorry to take so long to get back to you. The procedure you took so far is fine with me. I don't mind you using an excerpt of a post and then including a link back to my blog for the full article. As long as The Black Factor is prominently listed as the source, with a link to the blog, it's fine.
I will definitely take a look at your blog and join the group. I would certainly like to see what issues are being discussed by Black, female professionals. I would love to participate in the discussions.
I will also put a link to your blog on my site.
When it comes to this topic, I don't believe in competition. We need as many resources and support groups as possible. Keep up the good work and keep up the fight.
BTW, my sister is much better now. I should be back to my own place and out of her hair in about a week. I think I'm driving her crazy now. LOL

family's certainly know how to help put life into a different but oh so real
